Our name says it all! legal-slots.com is a division of Double D Gaming that produces and manufactures "bona-fide" amusement games for arcade and redemption use.
Most States prohibit gambling and gambling devices and States that allow any type of gaming often have very rigid rules and regulations to control and oversee gaming activities.
The rules and regulations are often made by a Casino Control or Gaming Commission and are usually enforced by a Division of Gaming Enforcement or State Police Agency
Many States have enacted some type of regulations for coin operated amusement, arcade and redemption games. Many States have some type of written regulations that allow Skill-Based Games. Some States choose to write specific and extensive regulations governing skill games, such as New Jersey, while some are satisfied with a minimum of written regulations or exemptions that are often known as the fuzzy animal or Chuck E Cheese Laws.
Almost without exception, States Attorney Generals rely on the phrase "Bona-Fide" game, be it amusement, redemption or skill based and gambling or gaming devices are not tolerated where not permitted.
Bona-Fide Games
Bona-fide is a Latin word that is defined as in good faith, without dishonesty, fraud or deceit. A gambling device has none of those characteristics. The use of a gambling device will most likely result in confiscation of the game or device and the arrest of the operator. You will of course lose all money in the games and on the premises as well
That being said, the question for most operators and distributors is How do I know what games are bona-fide skill / amusement games?
Double D Gaming and legal-slots.com can answer that question with certainty in the States of New Jersey and Maryland.
Our games are submitted in writing to the New Jersey Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission upon creation and sent to a State approved and licensed testing lab to ensure they are honest and meet State legal standards. Upon receipt of a satisfactory lab report by the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission, the game is listed on the next monthly meeting agenda for approval by the State. Upon a majority vote of the Commission and recommendation of the Supervisor of Electronic Games, a Certificate of Permissibility is issued by the Commission.
Upon receipt of the Certificate of Permissibility from the New Jersey Attorney Generals Office, signed by the Chair of the Commission, we are permitted to sell our newly bona-fide amusement games.
The games, once approved by the LGCCC, are exempted by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and Division of Gaming Enforcement as amusement devices. In the event the game is modified in anyway, by anybody, and does not meet the exact conditions and requirements of the Certificate of Permissibility issued by the LGCCC; or if the Certificate of Permissibility is revoked for any reason, the exemption is voided and the game reverts back to being a gambling device.
